The Board/Staff Potluck is a casual cocktail event hosted by the Rose Theater Guild Board Members in February for the Rose Theater staff and the Board of Trustees.  Secure a host home, make necessary arrangements with the hostess, send invitations, coordinate RSVP’s, appetizers, desserts and beverages.

Take photos of all Guild fundraising and friend-raising events, and accumulate articles that are published in the Omaha World Herald, Metro Monthly and ONE.  Assemble a scrapbook with the photos, articles, Footlights, etc. that reflect the Guild year.

Secure locations and hostesses for the monthly Guild Board Meetings.  (Home Hostess provides her home for the meeting, beverages, dinnerware & utensils; “treats” are provided by two other Board Members.)  Provide information to President, Secretary and Membership Chair for publication in the directory and meeting minutes.

 Membership/Directory

Edit the membership invitation brochure, arrange printing and coordinate bulk mailing.  Update and print the membership directory for distribution at the August Guild Board Meeting.  Provide invitation brochures at all Guild events and at The Rose Theater.

 Ballet Liaison

Contact Robin Welch, artistic director for the Omaha Theater Ballet, monthly and report news about the company, productions, school, auditions, etc. to the Guild Board.  Also coordinate the t-shirt sales for the cast of The Nutcracker.

 Children’s Theater

Contact James Larson, artistic director for the Omaha Theater Company, monthly and share news about current and upcoming children’s productions, classes, auditions, etc. to the Guild Board.
